After school in Jaipur, Sujata joined the SNDT College to post graduate in Fine Arts and Painting. From there she furthered her art education at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. Bajaj has explored various materials, mediums and methods. She has worked with different art forms and media such as etching, wood-cut, sculpture, murals, cold ceramic, fiberglass, metal, mixed media and, now, acrylic. Tribal art plays a major role in Sujata’s work even today. Important group exhibitions include The Power of Peace, Bali, 2007, The Ueno Royal Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, 2007, The Journey, New York, 2008, as well as several art fairs all over the world. She has had several solo exhibitions in India, France, Norway and UK, including Transcendence, Art Musings, Mumbai, 2006. Group Exhibitions with Art Musings include Doorways, 2020; India Art Fair, 2011, ’09; and X @ Jehangir, 2008. The artist lives and works in Paris.
