Bose Krishnamachari earned his BFA from the Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai, 1991 and his MVA from Goldsmiths College, London, 2000. He combines Western image-making techniques with the vernacular, in a bid to arrive at an idiom that is entirely contemporary and brisk. He has mounted a number of solo shows, the most prominent of these being De Curating- Indian Contemporary Artists, Sakshi Art Gallery, Mumbai, Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore and Durbar Hall, Kochi, 2003; Ghost/ Transmemoir, Aicon Gallery, New York, 2006, and LaVA (Laboratory of Visual Arts), a travelling installation project that visited Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Kochi, Baroda and New Delhi, 2006-07. He has also curated and conceptualised exhibitions such as Af-fair, 1X1 Contemporary and 1X1 Gallery, Dubai, 2008 and MaaRKERS, Bodhi Art Gallery, Mumbai, 2006. Group Exhibitions with Art Musings include Doorways, 2020. The artist lives and works in Mumbai.
